Before attending your appointment at the travel clinic, gather as much information about your previous vaccinations. Even your childhood immunisations can be helpful.

Travel Vaccination

Please come in or make a telehealth appointment to discuss your travel vaccine needs with any one of our doctors. We do not keep all travel vaccines in stock. However whooping cough and tetenus are available. We suggest you obtain a script via a telehealth appointment and then make a follow up appointment with one of our GP’s for administration of the vaccine.

Yellow Fever Vaccine

Peninsula Family General Practice is an accredited provider of Yellow Fever Vaccine.

Rare vaccines

If you are travelling to certain areas of the world and need a less common vaccination, such as the rabies vaccine or Japanese Encephalitis, these will need to be ordered by the local pharmacy.

An appointment discussing your travel plans is not just about injections. You can also arrange prescriptions to help protect you from illnesses such as malaria or diarrhoea. Some travellers will seek advice to assist with jetlag, or sea sickness.
