Peninsula Family General Practice is now a Bulk Billing Practice under the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program (BBPIP).
This means that eligible Medicare card holders will be bulk billed for most standard consultations and services covered by Medicare.
Please note that some non-Medicare items and services are not bulk billed and will attract a private fee. These may include, but are not limited to:
- WorkCover, TAC, or insurance reports
- Medicals (e.g., employment, travel, fitness)
- Procedures or forms not covered by Medicare
- Non-attendance or late cancellation fees
Patients should contact our clinic for specific billing questions or concerns before booking an appointment.
If you are having difficulty paying our fees at any time, please discuss this with your doctor.
Please be reminded that if an appointment is missed, a fee will be charged.
Please bring your Medicare card and any pension or Veterans Affairs cards with you to the clinic.
Some services, including WorkCover injuries and medical examinations for insurance and employment, are not able to be legally bulk billed. For services not covered by Medicare, you will be responsible for payment at time of consultation by cash or credit card.
