Dressings
Our clinic provides assistance with minor wound and dressing management as part of our nursing services.
To ensure you receive comprehensive care, dressing appointments are booked with both a Practice Nurse and a GP. While our nurses are experienced in wound care and dressing changes, they are unable to provide prescriptions, pathology referrals, medical certificates, or other medical management if these are required as part of your treatment. The GP will assess and address any medical needs associated with your wound care.
Fees for Dressing Services
Dressing services are not covered as a complimentary service and may attract a fee. The cost of your appointment will depend on several factors, including:
- The complexity and size of the wound
- The type and quantity of dressing products required
- The nursing time involved
- The frequency and duration of ongoing treatment
As a general guide, dressing changes may incur a fee of up to $50 per visit. In some cases, patients may be asked to purchase the required dressing products directly, or the clinic may supply these products at an additional cost.
We understand that ongoing wound care can be an unexpected expense and strive to keep our fees as affordable and accessible as possible while ensuring high-quality clinical care and appropriate dressing materials are provided.
